Founder of Calm Buddhi & Buddhi Sangha
Yoga teacher, guide, creator, and eternal student.
I was born in East Gippsland and have spent most of my adult life between Melbourne and the coastal town of Dromana, where I now live, work, and create. My journey into yoga was not linear — it was essential. In my mid-twenties, I was working in the corporate world — a space that felt rigid, disconnected, and out of alignment with my values. It left little room for creativity or true connection, and it wasn’t how I wanted to serve others. It wasn’t me — or who I was becoming.
During this time, my body began to break down. Years of living out of sync with myself caught up with me, and I found myself facing serious illness, multiple surgeries, and long hospital stays. I was told I’d need lifelong infusions and that it was too dangerous to travel to India. But something deep within me knew there was another way. I listened. I followed my intuition, and I went anyway.
India became a second home — not only for my own healing but as a place where I now work closely with artisan families, social enterprises, and nonprofits to co-create the offerings behind Calm Buddhi and Buddhi Threads. What began as a personal turning point grew into a way of life and a way of giving back.
Yoga met me where I was — not just in recovery, but in rediscovery. I realised that this practice holds something for everyone: whether you’re navigating illness, a restless mind, emotional overwhelm, or simply a desire to live more intentionally. Yoga has helped me feel more grounded, vibrant, and clear, even while carrying the long-term after-effects of heavy medication and invasive surgeries. It became my anchor — and my teacher.
Over the past 10+ years, I’ve trained with master teachers in Australia, India, and the U.S., completing over 1,000 hours of study and teaching in asana, kriya, pranayama, mantra, meditation, and Yoga Nidra. My approach is integrated, blending ancient wisdom with accessible tools that support steady transformation.
Through Buddhi Sangha, I share these practices with others, not as an escape from life, but as a way to live it more fully. My heartfelt intention is to offer rituals and teachings that help people reconnect with their own rhythm, strength, and joy.
A core component of the practice is mastering our breath and understanding that it carries vitality, clarity, and healing, especially when drawn from nature. When we learn to master the breath, we learn to master the mind. And when the mind is calm, we begin to live with greater intention, freedom, and grace.
